My Dad for 45 years, how lucky was I to have you in my life, to share memories old and new, the laughter, the tears. I’ve missed speaking to you, hearing your voice and seeing your name appear on my phone. A foodie like me, he was my hero, a cheeky chappie, outgoing, always the centre of attention, always had a joke or two ready to entertain the crowd. It’s been hard watching him no longer be that person but at least I have all the memories to remind me. When I was younger we didn’t speak properly for a few years. As I watched you in hospital over the past few days, holding your hand, vulnerable and weak, I thought to myself what was it all over, life is too short, grudges are a waste of happiness and that will always be my biggest regret and I’m sorry if I caused you any hurt or upset in my younger years!!
